The temperature range required by nature will vary according to the types of products that need special treatment. For instance, fruit ripening is facilitated at a temperature that is no less than 25C, whereas processing room conditions need to be kept between 12 to 19C.
It is also important to note that fruits and vegetables, as well as dry food, require specific temperatures to keep them fresh and suitable for consumption. The optimum range for these types of products is between -5C to +10C.
On the other hand, substances such as medicine, cake, pastry, and chemical materials necessitate a relatively cold temperature to stay fresh. The recommended range for these products is between 0C to -5C.
For even colder storage, an ice storage room can be maintained at temperatures between -5C to -10C. Meanwhile, for fish and meat storage, conditions need to be significantly colder, ranging from -18C to -25C.
At the coldest end of the spectrum, some substances require extremely low temperatures to remain intact. Deep freezers, low-temperature storage units, and quick-freeze, blast freezers maintain temperatures of -25C to -40C.
